Event Description

Ergonomics is about the fit between jobs and people. Ergonomics provides a perspective that is useful for fitting jobs and people together in ways that minimize injury and maximize productivity. Injury and illness related to ergonomics is most often seen in musculoskeletal injury – tendonitis, strains, and other soft tissue symptoms. These are the greatest loss area for workers’ compensation claims. Accidents can be the result of ergonomics issues, too. This workshop helps clarify what ergonomics is about, why this is so much of a problem for workers’ compensation, how to recognize risk factors, and how to take action to minimize ergonomic problems. This training will help you to advance steps at your workplace to take advantage of what good ergonomics strategy can offer. Training is free to Comp-SIGMA members, $125 per person for non-members. To register, call 800-645-7674 or email training@slgl.com
