Event Description

Are your employees demanding stock options or restricted stock?  You’d like to provide stock compensation, but are uncertain about details behind the process of it all.  Join Atty. Robert Schwartz, of Devine Millimet, for a presentation that will discuss everything a private company needs to know about the tax, accounting and securities rules for stock options and restricted stock.  Schwartz will cover topics including: incentive and non-qualified options, restricted stock, stock appreciation rights, restricted stock units, tax issues, and accounting treatment.  Offering stock compensation to your employees can be a very effective incentive and worth considering for your private business.

The event will be held in the abi Innovation Hub conference room on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from noon to 1pm. This workshop is free and open to the public, but we do ask that you register with Jacob Bodoh at jacob@abihub.org or by calling (603) 629-9511.  Lunch will be provided.  The abi Innovation Hub is located at 33 S. Commercial Street in Manchester, NH.

Robert Schwartz represents technology companies and purchasers of technology.  He has served as the general counsel of several public and venture-backed software companies. His most recent affiliation was with I-many, Inc., a publicly-traded, global developer of enterprise contract management software, where he served as its general counsel for more than eight years.
