NHBR Network/NHBR's online b-to-b network

I've noticed that if I try to travel to a conference that costs $100 to register that by the time I add air travel, ground travel, hotel and meals, I can be close to $1,000 for a $100 conference.

What about your last trip?  Do you know how much you spent on a conference beyond the registration fee?

Thanks for the input.

I just returned from a conference in NYC. I saved money by driving there and carpooling with someone else. I stayed with friends when I was there to save on hotel costs. I did have to pay for a metro card, meals and fuel. I did bring a cooler with drinks and food so that helped cut down on food costs. I only attended the conference for one day, instead of the 3 days it ran, so I saved on my ticket fee.

If the conference had offered a webcast for the same $100, would you have watched it from your home/office?
