Net Zero House Tour
Tuesday, July 6 ▪ 5 - 6:30 p.m.
As an optional introduction to the 7 p.m. presentation (below), Holderness home owner Jane Bindley has graciously opened her net zero energy home for a tour. Her home was renovated to attain a challenging objective – all energy consumed for heating, hot water, and electricity over a full year will be less than the energy generated by the home’s solar electric and solar thermal systems. Very few net zero energy homes have been built and renovations to existing homes to make them net zero are rare. To see more about the Bindley home, visit www.garlandmill.com/holderness.htm

Remodeling your Home with Sustainability in Mind
Tuesday, July 6 ▪ 7 p.m.
Join Robert Tortorice, Building Performance Institute-certified, Certified Green Building Professional, Certified Home Energy Rating System rater, to learn how green home remodeling can also be a smart financial investment. Bob has over 30 years experience in residential and commercial construction. Find out about cost saving measures, federal tax credits, and utility rebate programs.

Women in business have a unique opportunity to combine a well-deserved night out with the chance to receive top-notch marketing advice from political strategist and marketing guru Rogers Johnson, on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Best Western in Keene, NH. In addition to an information-filled talk on the topic of how top marketing strategies used in politics can work for women-owned businesses, Johnson will hold discussions by table, and will also be available to answer individual questions one-on-one.

Advi-coach (women-owned by Ann and Michelle Connor) will provide a business packet to help participants with incorporating concepts and ideas presented by Johnson into their strategic business plan. Participants will also have the opportunity to network and collaborate with other women in business at this evening event, and are invited to bring a list of challenges to the dinner as a springboard for innovative problem solving.

I appreciate the group’s existence! I have read many of the forum submissions and find it extremely encouraging to find such insight and perspective coming from our NH business people. This creates a great learning and connection opportunity.
