Is making profitable business connections through networking at the top of your list when laying out your goals for the New Year? If not, maybe it should be because business networking is easy, cost effective and appears to be the state-of-the-art marketing choice for many business professionals.
The avenues to achieve effective business networking are endless. There are many worldwide online networking sites that are quite popular. Most of us already use LinkedIn or Twitter to network and to market our businesses to a large audience at no cost. Both are user friendly sites and provide templates to post interesting discussions, share informative news articles, post important networking events and post marketing articles to garner more visibility. Other networking organizations include in-person networking events that if attended regularly will enhance referral business.
Making face-to-face connections can improve net profits faster than just an online networking presence. In-person successful networking that generates warm referrals takes a few simple steps. First, join a local business networking organization and build relationships. Spend the time getting to know the members of your networking group. Be sure to understand their business focus and hear their success stories and in turn, let them hear yours. The concept is simple and reaps benefits as long as you make the effort to consistently attend the in-person meet-ups. This is important because the saying is true: “out of sight, out of mind”.
If you are like me, it is easy to make excuses not to attend meet-ups. All of us have busy schedules and sometimes our personal lives or business situations get in the way of our goals. However, if 2010 is the year for you to make more profitable connections and you need the extra push, choose a local business networking group that has meeting flexibility with multiple choices of meeting times and places, managed competition and provides online connections as well. ClubNET Communities, founded in late 2009, for example, provides all of that and more.
The advantages of ClubNET Communities over other local networking groups such as BNI and Letip are the flexible monthly meeting schedule, is less demanding, requesting professional members to attend just two meetings per month and passing warm referrals is done because it makes good business sense, not because it is required. ClubNET also rewards its members for being actively involved. Active members are eligible for free advertising and/or free admission to special events or workshops. BNI and Letip do not offer a flexible schedule and they require weekly meetings at the same time, same place with the same people and require four referrals per month.
At ClubNET Communities, you receive more value for the money. At 100 members per community, there are many more connections to be made. The online member profiles on the Community websites provide numerous marketing opportunities for profitable connections. Advertising space on the website, educational seminars, and extra exposure/marketing opportunities all add up to more value.
The ClubNET Communities website,
www.clubnetcommunities.com is being upgraded to include a member profile area with website links, in-group email, online referrals and a registration area for meetings. Each Community of 100 local business professionals will have its own web page for local advertising, member spotlights, local meeting schedules and testimonials. The upgraded version of the site is scheduled to go live by early February, 2010.
If ClubNET Communities seems to be the right choice for you, the month of January is our membership drive month and there are membership discounts available. Currently we are adding Charter members to the Greater Nashua and Greater Salem, NH Communities.
Please view our (temporary) website for details about membership and pricing options and to sign up to receive invitations:
